South Rolly Lake
The easiest and most accessible option for groups. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards launch directly from the shoreline at South Rolly Campground. Calm water and simple navigation make this lake ideal for beginners, younger groups, and larger outings where leaders want easy supervision. South Rolly is stocked with rainbow trout, and fishing gear can be rented for groups that want to add fishing to their lake day.

Red Shirt Lake
A scenic and rewarding adventure for groups ready for a little more exploration. Boats are staged at Red Shirt Lake after a 3-mile hiking trail, making this a true backcountry paddling experience. The lake is known for its quiet setting and excellent northern pike fishing, making it a great choice for groups interested in combining hiking, paddling, and fishing.For groups planning an overnight adventure, Red Shirt Lake also offers a remote campsites on the lake and public use cabins, providing a unique opportunity to experience Alaska’s backcountry.

Lynx Lake Canoe Trail
A classic Alaska canoe route connecting several lakes through short portages. Groups paddle across quiet water and portage their boats along marked trails between lakes, creating a more active and adventurous experience. The lakes along the trail hold northern pike, offering good opportunities for anglers who want to fish along the way. Several remote campsites and public use cabins are located along the route, making it a great option for groups planning an overnight or multi-day backcountry adventure.
How Group Rentals Work
Planning a group paddle trip at Tippecanoe is simple.

Choose your lake – South Rolly Lake, Red Shirt Lake, or the Lynx Lake Canoe Trail.

Select your equipment – Canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards are available.

Reserve at least 5 boats to qualify for group rates.

Complete waivers before arrival to make check-in quick and easy.

Pick up gear at the Tippecanoe building inside South Rolly Campground before launching.
